How it works
Setup uses Follow Up Boss's REST API with OAuth 2.0 or API key authentication. Webhooks keep the integration live without polling.
Authorize the connection
Your Follow Up Boss administrator authorizes access via OAuth 2.0 or generates an API key. You control which scopes our integration receives.
Set up event flow
We use Follow Up Boss's events endpoint to write call activity back automatically. Webhooks notify us when new contacts are added, so screen pops match the latest data.
Roll out to your agents
Office staff get click-to-call from inside FUB. Field agents get Pro Mobile lines on their personal phones. Inbound calls open the right contact record on whoever answers.

Does this work with Follow Up Boss Grow or Pro plans?
The integration uses Follow Up Boss's API, which is available across Follow Up Boss plans that include API access. Verify with Follow Up Boss support if you are on a legacy plan — most current plans include API access.
How does the integration handle high inbound lead-call volume?
Follow Up Boss's events endpoint is built for high-volume event creation. We write call events as they happen rather than in batches, so the contact's activity feed stays current. Even teams handling hundreds of inbound lead calls per day should not hit API limits in normal operation.
What about lead distribution and round-robin assignment?
Lead routing is handled by Follow Up Boss's own assignment rules — our integration does not change those. The integration reads the assigned agent for inbound caller screen pops, but Follow Up Boss controls who gets new leads.
What does the integration cost?
Nothing extra on the phone-service side. The Follow Up Boss integration is bundled with our phone service. Pro Mobile is priced separately if your agents need cellular business lines.
Can agents call leads from personal phones without giving out their cell?
Yes. Pro Mobile gives every agent a real business cellular line on their phone. Calls to leads show the team's business number. When an agent leaves, the number stays with the team — leads do not get the agent's personal cell.
Will the integration auto-create new leads in Follow Up Boss from unknown callers?
No — auto-creating leads from every random inbound call creates more noise than value. The integration logs the call into our phone system; your team decides whether the caller is a real lead and adds them to Follow Up Boss intentionally.
How long does setup take?
Most Follow Up Boss teams are live within a few business days. API authorization is fast; rollout to agents (including Pro Mobile activation if relevant) takes the rest of the time.
